The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

Gotta love PC Gamer just done flicking through the news and seen Good Old Games posting and one of them been The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena jumped over to the site created a new account and now downloading it. I can remember playing this game on the original Xbox not that I give too sweet fuck’s about the consoles anymore and loved it, up to the point that one of my dick friends was bothering me to play something else. Clearly he didn’t know shit about games and probable don’t know yet to today why because he’s a idiot. So with that said I have a chance to play it again and this time on the PC witch got redone for Windows 7 the graphics and more.

I got with the game DRM Free that’s right DRM Free, 3 wallpapers, 4 avatars, soundtrack, 2 developer diaries and of course the manual all for $5.00. Steam didn’t have it available and wanted that purchase from them but couldn’t, honestly I don’t care as long as it’s played on the PC. When I’m done with the ridiculous console port of Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 this ones up next.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call of Pirpyat Misery 2.0 MOD
S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call of Pirpyat Misery 2.0 MOD

Well just got done reading the December 2013 PC Gamer Magazine and have to say I absolutely loved S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call of Pripyat, I would have to agree that it belongs with the other personal top games and they are Batman Arkham Asylum, BioShock, Half Life series and many more. I remember playing this game back to back for like two weeks and couldn’t get enough. Might one day look at it again so thanks big time to Phil from PC Gamer Magazine for this one.

For those of you who found the Exclusion Zone of STALKER: Call of Pripyat a bit too warm ‘n cuddly, take heart! Misery Mod 2.0 is here to kick you in the teeth, knock you to the ground, and fill your bleeding mouth with irradiated soil. Misery 2.0 features tons of gameplay adjustments and additions, new visuals and sounds, and a more harrowing and challenging experience for you to enjoy in the brief time before your brutal and lonely death.

Begin your short, miserable life by choosing one of three classes to inhabit before you are killed. You can pick from the Assaulter, the Recon, and the Sniper class, which give close-range, mid-range, and long-range combat options. Each class has its own little perks and drawbacks, and comes with a different set of starter gear.

Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 780 Ti

Hardware

When it comes to gaming how can you hole a price on that and that’s just what Nvidia’s seem to think with there GeForce GTX 780 Ti  VideoCard and have to agree. Just got done reading the GTX 780 Ti Review on Tom’s hardware and have a few thing to say let’s start with the price. I would pick the GeForce GTX 780 Ti over the Radeon R9 290X any day of the week even though it’s more expensive why because the Noise the Videocard makes is just insane like Tom said The noise is simply unbearable without commercial-grade ear protection.

Power levels well let’s see watching a Blu-ray movie with this card seems to draw 73W and the Radeon R9 290 70W where’s the GeForce GTX 780 Ti 23W, also with idle Multi Monitor’s the Radeon R9 290X draw’s 59W and the GeForce GTX 780 13W. I have the GeForce GTX 670 that draw’s 16Watts big difference’s when your talking about the monthly light bill and to running the VideoCard 8-10 hours a day do the math.

When it’s comes to FPS that’s a different thing but come on there Second Gen VR-Controller that was first in the Radeon 7870 GHz Edition and then in the HD Radeon 7790 witch would make it the second Gen VR-Controller does a poor job of managing the Core Clock speed here’s what Tom said Nvidia is seizing on this issue in the meantime, and with good reason. With clock rates ranging from 727 to 1000 MHz on our Radeon R9 290X cards. Regarding the debate about variability and AMD’s Hawaii-based cards: like it or not, R9 290X operates at a range between 727 and 1000 MHz, and 290 runs between 662 and 947 MHz. Less then five minutes this card is below the advertize speed really that’s just another reason now to buy the Radeon R9 290X VideoCard and not just this one many more.

At the Nvidia “The Way It’s Meant To Be Played” press event in Montreal, Nvidia made a few surprising announcements including a new graphics card and an impressive video synchronization technology called G-Sync. Nvidia dropped a few interesting announcements at its press event in Montreal today. Here are some of the important highlights blow check it out:

Nvidia Gamestream, Shadowplay, and Twitch

The company announced Gamestream, a technology to stream video to televisions via Wi-Fi (limited to 720p) or Ethernet (1080p) via a Shield console. This isn’t particularly new, since we saw an earlier iteration of Gamestream work at the Shield reveal event, but it was impressive to see it work at 1080p on a large 4K screen.
